Quinnipiac University (QU), a private institution in Hamden, Connecticut, collaborated with Minerva Project to help design a new residential experience for incoming and returning students alongside the opening of a new residence hall, transforming it into a ‘Living Learning Community.’ Beginning in Fall 2024, the innovative experiential learning model will use durable skills to foster self-discovery, exploration, and growth. Programming introduces five learning outcomes (like purpose and resilience) that are reinforced, and applied in three contexts: personal, interpersonal, and civic. This design concept will pave the path for future expansion across the university.
Another collaboration is with the Quinnipiac University School of Nursing which is reimagining nursing education to equip future nurses with the durable skills needed for the evolving healthcare field. By integrating competency-based frameworks into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, the model aims to serve as a competitive differentiator and an exemplar for other institutions.
